The Speaking Pianist

Where musicians, performers and composers speak

Guy Barash talks back

A conversation with Guy Barash, a prolific and very active Israeli composer living in New York.

Among his compositions are symphonic, chamber, vocal and electroacoustic works. He has written an extensive body of work that incorporates text in various settings and arrangements. As a humanistic artist with a great social consciousness, Guy writes for people. Whether for performers or audiences, he creates music that is challenging yet compelling. Visit his website.

I just peformed his TalkBack IV, a great piece for piano and electronics, in London and Braine-l’Alleud (Belgium). Concert recording coming up !
